In today’s world, being mindful of your surroundings and capable of using what you see to accurately predict the actions of others are crucial skills when it comes to maintaining your personal safety. When properly applied, situational awareness will help improve your general understanding how, when and where violence occurs. It will also increase your chances of successfully detecting and avoiding danger no matter where in the world you might be.

Our instructor led program provides students with the foundation and knowledge of the Craft known as Situational Awareness. The Situation Awareness Specialist® Certificate program is designed to educate the participant in the discipline of situational awareness, thereby creating a security awareness practitioner capable of understanding and dealing with the dynamics of random and potentially threatening events while planning day to day activities.

Upon completion of this program, the participant will understand the principles of situational awareness and be recognized as a Situation Awareness Specialist® by Anvil Institute LLC and associated professional community.

The Situation Awareness Specialist® Professional Certificate Program consist of:

• Situation Awareness Specialist® – General Practitioner (SAS)

NOTE: Training in situation awareness is an introduction to the craft and training alone will not make you an expert.

Only years of experience in the field creates experts in situational awareness. Any company claiming to make you an expert in situational awareness with their training is misleading you. Throughout your career an ongoing evolution will take place in utilizing the dynamics of situational awareness as an expertise.

This course is designed to educate the participant in the discipline of situational awareness, thereby creating a security awareness practitioner capable of understanding and dealing with the dynamics of random and potential threat events, while planning dayto-day activities at various venues. The participant will demonstrate an understanding of the principals of situational awareness and be recognized by the Arcuri Group Examiners’ Panel as a Certified Situation Awareness Specialist®.

All Situation Awareness Specialist® courses will allow participants to:

• Enable a mindset change.
• Become a practitioner of the Craft.
• Become an asset to self and those around us.

The Situation Awareness Specialist® course has three components:

• Perquisite readings.
• Completion of a ~3.5-hour instructor-led course.
• A final ‘closed-book’ examination with a passing grade requirement of 75%
