Accessibility
Tactful Elite Security Solutions wants tess.global to work for every visitor. This page describes what the site does today.
What the site does
- A skip link sits at the top of every page. It appears when focused. On the current dispatch shell it moves focus into the main content; pages on the older layout take you to the main content, but that layout does not guarantee focus moves with it.
- Pages use header, navigation, main, and footer landmarks. The navigation is labelled, and the current page is marked.
- Keyboard focus is shown by a visible outline across the whole site.
- When your system asks for reduced motion, the dispatch shell switches off every animation and transition across its pages with a single blanket rule, including its scroll reveals. The older layout has no such blanket rule; instead it turns off each of its named motion effects one by one — scroll reveals, counters, parallax, the hero image and badge animations, and the menu chevron and submenu transitions — so some other transitions on that layout still run.
- On the dispatch shell, the mobile menu closes with the Escape key, returns focus to the menu button, and keeps the page behind it inert while open. On the older layout, the mobile menu closes with the Escape key as well, but focus stays where it was and the page behind is not made inert.
- The brand image carries an empty alt attribute, and the home link it sits in is labelled.
Appearance
The site is a dark theme. Its colours come from a fixed set of design tokens, which are the source of its contrast.
Known limits
Nothing on the site is documented as unreachable by keyboard. Differences between the shells are named above: the older layout's mobile menu does not restore focus or inert the page behind it, its main content does not receive focus from the skip link, and reduced motion does not stop every transition on that layout.
