events,
door to egress.
Detail teams for concerts, festivals, runs of shows, conferences, galas and private events across Brevard County: credentialing, crowd management, egress and emergency planning, aerial overwatch where the site warrants it, and the after-action summary. Continuous coverage at The King Center for the Performing Arts since January 2018.

Where the exposure is
What an event host is actually exposed to
The door. Credentials, bag checks and wanding are where an event's security is decided, and they are decided before the first act. The plan names the posts, the policy you and the venue set decides what is checked, and the officers on those posts are Florida Class D security officers working under our agency license. Ushers and ticket takers are your staff; the security posts are ours.
The number. How many officers an event needs depends on headcount, alcohol, the layout and the act, and it is sized at the walkthrough rather than from a ratio. If a permit, a promoter or an insurer has handed you a number, tell us and we will tell you whether it is the right one.
Egress. Most of what goes wrong at an event goes wrong on the way out. The egress plan, the emergency routes and who makes the call to open them are written before the doors open and walked with the venue. The after-action summary records what actually happened against that plan.
The recurring venue. A venue with a season is not a series of one-off details. A standing team that knows the building, its blind spots and its house staff runs each night on a plan that has already been tested. That is what continuous coverage at The King Center since 2018 has meant in practice, and it is the practical reason our lead times for south Brevard venues are what they are.

Events questions
Before you call
How many officers do I need?
It depends on headcount, alcohol, the layout and the act, and we size it at the walkthrough rather than from a ratio. If you have a number from a permit or an insurer, tell us and we will tell you whether it is the right one.
Do you do bag checks and wanding?
Yes. Bag checks, wanding and credential checks at the posts the plan names, to the policy you and the venue set.
Can you cover an event this weekend?
Often, for a small detail, subject to the roster. Larger details need five days. Same-day is a phone call.
Do you cover the whole run of a festival or a season?
Yes, and that is the better arrangement: the same team, the same plan, tested on the first night and adjusted on the second. A run is booked as one engagement with one point of contact, and the after-action summary from each night feeds the next.
