What the Orlando metro asks of a post
Airspace. The Orlando metro is the most restricted airspace we work under. Orlando International's airspace covers a wide area around the airport, Sanford and Executive have controlled airspace of their own, and Walt Disney World sits under a standing flight restriction that no private operator can waive. Aerial coverage in the metro is the exception rather than the rule, and we quote it only after the grid has answered for the exact parcel.
Storm season. Orlando is inland, so a storm arrives as wind, rain and long outages rather than surge, and a metro of this size recovers unevenly. For a Brevard client with an Orlando office, the storm question is usually the reverse of the one at home: whether the officer can get there and back on the Beachline while the coast is evacuating. We answer that honestly, and it is the reason storm coverage in the metro is planned, not called in.
The drive. The Beachline runs from Port Canaveral across Merritt Island and straight to Orlando International, and it is the only road that matters: about an hour from dispatch in ordinary traffic and unpredictable on a launch day, a holiday weekend or a convention week. Every engagement in the metro is planned around the drive. Reliefs are scheduled for it, a detail travels together, and same-day requests are answered with the hour built in.
What we are. TESS is a Brevard County agency. We do not claim an Orlando office, an Orlando roster or Orlando references we cannot name, and an agency that offers you all three from a mailbox should be asked which is real. What we offer the metro is what a Brevard client takes there: a principal who travels, a company event, a difficult separation, a post that needs the officers the client already knows from home.

Are you actually based in Orlando?
No. Our office is on Merritt Island in Brevard County, about 55 miles east by the Beachline, and we do not maintain an Orlando office or a separate Orlando roster. Work in the metro is staffed from Brevard, and the drive is part of every plan.
Will you take a standing post in Orlando?
By arrangement. A post an hour from dispatch is relieved and supervised differently from a Brevard one, and we plan it that way rather than pretend the distance is not there. Executive protection, event details and terminations travel best; tell us what the post is and we will say what it takes.
How much notice do you need for an Orlando engagement?
Standard lead time is 72 hours for a scheduled detail, and more for a large one. Same-day is a phone call, and at an hour's drive it is harder to say yes to; we will tell you what is possible rather than promise an arrival we cannot make.
Can you fly drones in the Orlando metro?
Rarely. Orlando International's controlled airspace, the other towered fields and the standing restriction over Walt Disney World close much of the metro to private aerial work, and Florida's drone privacy statute applies to the rest. Where a parcel clears on the grid we will quote it; where it does not, we say so.
